  <description>&lt;a href="http://www.eml.org.sg"&gt;The NUS Electronic Music Lab (EML)&lt;/a&gt; presents to you the latest results of its top-secret research carried out in underground facilities and darkened bedrooms. Sort of. The album encompasses the great diversity of music produced by EML – there’s house, ambient, chillout, techno, game music, chiptune, dubstep.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
The EML is a collective that comprises of individuals who share a passion for electronic music and who wish to contribute to and raise awareness of the burgeoning electronic music scene in Singapore. It is managed by the Centre For the Arts, NUS, although its members are not limited to those in NUS.&#13;
&#13;
Sound Research Vol.1 is a prelude to the upcoming EML concert on the 16th of March 2007, "Press Play". The concert is an exploration of how machines have evolved thorughout the centuries and how they may evolve into the future. Expect unconventional musical instruments like typewriters, handheld game machines and motion sensors. The music genres featured will be just as, if not more, varied as the music of Sound Research Vol.1. Tickets available at all SISTIC outlets for only S$10.
